World Labs prices its API in credits, and Atlas has no price at all yet. This page converts the credit system into dollars, works through realistic budgets, and explains how the plans on this independent site (not affiliated with World Labs) relate to what World Labs charges. All figures are as of September 3, 2026 and link to their sources.
World Labs credit pricing
The World API uses prepaid credits (World Labs docs):
- $1.00 buys 1,250 credits, so one credit is $0.0008.
- The minimum purchase is $5.00 for 6,250 credits.
- API credits do not expire and can auto-refill when the balance drops.
- API credits are separate from the Marble web app’s credits; buying one does not top up the other.
- Billing is per usage event, and the cost of an event depends on the compute it consumes.
Per-world cost
The headline number is the price of one generated world (Radiance Fields):

A Marble 1.1 Plus world expanded by the maximum five cubes in one pass therefore costs 1,500 + 5 × 300 = 3,000 credits, or $2.40.
What is free
PLY Gaussian splat export through the API is free (Radiance Fields). Because .ply is the lossless source format, you can convert it to compressed .spz yourself at no cost and view it in the online splat viewer. Whether mesh and video exports carry a charge is not stated in the material we could verify; check the official pricing page before relying on them.
Atlas pricing: not disclosed
Atlas is in early access for select partners and World Labs has published no price, paper or general-availability date (Implicator). Two things are reasonable to expect, neither confirmed:
- Video will be priced differently from worlds. A minute of 1440p video is orders of magnitude more compute than a static world. Competing video APIs charge per second of output, for example $0.10 per second for Sora 2 at 720p before its shutdown (eesel), and Atlas video is likely to follow a per-second or per-frame model.
- Reconstruction may stay per-world. Turning a few photos into a splat scene is closer to what Marble does today, so per-world pricing in the same credit system is plausible.

Worked examples
A solo developer prototyping. Ten Marble 1.1 worlds cost 15,000 credits, or $12. The minimum $5 top-up covers four worlds with 250 credits left over. Free PLY export means no additional cost to get assets into Unity or Unreal.
A small studio blocking out a level. One hundred worlds a month is 150,000 credits, or $120. If a third of them use two extra cubes on 1.1 Plus, add roughly 33 × 600 = 19,800 credits, about $16, for a total near $136.
An agency producing client mood boards. 500 worlds is 750,000 credits, or $600. At this volume the per-world price is the whole story; there is no published volume discount as of September 3, 2026.
A robotics team building simulation twins. Costs are dominated by iteration: regenerate the same space under different conditions. Fifty variations of ten spaces is 500 worlds, again about $600 on Marble. Atlas is the intended tool for this workflow but has no price yet; see the real-to-sim guide.
How credits are consumed
Every generation is a usage event, and World Labs bills events according to the compute they consume (World Labs docs). For Marble 1.1 that resolves to a flat 1,500 credits per world, which makes budgeting simple: multiply worlds by 1,500 and divide by 1,250 to get dollars.
Three details trip people up:
- Failed generations. Billing is per usage event, so check the credits endpoint after a failure rather than assuming the world was charged. Build a refund path into your own accounting if you resell generation.
- Web app versus API. The Marble web app has its own credit balance and subscription tiers. Buying API credits does not add to it, and vice versa. Teams that use both need two budgets.
- Auto-refill. Enabling auto-refill prevents a production job from stopping at zero balance, but it also means a runaway loop can spend money. Cap retries and monitor the balance.
Reducing cost per asset
- Generate at 1.1, not Plus, unless you need the space. The only way to spend more than 1,500 credits on a Marble world is to add cubes. If a single bounded scene is enough, stay on 1.1.
- Iterate on inputs before generating. Better reference photos and clearer prompts cut the number of regenerations, which is where budgets actually go.
- Export PLY, convert to SPZ yourself. The lossless export is free; the compressed format for the web takes seconds to produce locally and costs nothing.
- Reuse worlds. One world can yield many renders, videos and camera paths. Treat the world as the unit of cost and the renders as free.
How Atlas World Model plans compare
The plans below are for the hosted image, text and video to 3D world tools on this site. They bundle upstream credits at a one-to-one rate with hosting, the in-browser viewer, export handling and queueing. They go live with the generation tool in Phase 2; until then the numbers are planned pricing and may change before launch.

How to read them against World Labs’ rates:
- Starter at $19 includes 12,000 credits, enough for eight Marble 1.1 worlds. Bought directly from World Labs those credits cost $9.60; the difference pays for the viewer, storage, queueing and support.
- Pro at $39 includes 27,000 credits, about eighteen worlds, and unlocks GLB mesh export for engines that do not read splats.
- Studio at $99 includes 75,000 credits, about fifty worlds, plus video and panorama exports and three seats.
- Free includes 1,500 credits, one world, with a watermarked preview so you can test the pipeline before paying.

Why credits rather than dollars
Credit systems let a vendor reprice individual operations without changing the headline exchange rate, and let customers prepay in round amounts. For budgeting, convert every line item to dollars at $0.0008 per credit and track the per-world figure; if World Labs changes the credits per world, that is the number that moves.
